For the love of real chocolate
Hi friend, my name is Ryan.
I’ve been a chocolate fiend from the start.
Apparently, chocolate was a hard word for me.
When I got the chocolate urge, I would come barreling down my aunt’s hallways yelling, “I want chachalate!”.
I pronounced it as CHA-CHA-LIT in the high-pitched voice of a hungry little Ryan.
Back then, I would always go for the cheap supermarket chocolates.
I, like everyone else, consumed chocolate without thinking about it.
I eventually learned that
mass market chocolate is hardly chocolate at all.
That’s why it’s so cheap and it tastes the same no matter where you go.
These large companies over-roast their cocoa beans to compensate for lower quality beans.
Cheaper ingredients are added like vegetable or canola oils (which are way cheaper than cocoa butter), milk powders, and lots of sugar.
There had to be a real, better tasting chocolate.
So I did what anyone would do: I started making my own chocolate in my parents’ kitchen.
I quickly discovered a new world of cacao flavours.
The mission: bring real chocolate to the world.
Cocoa beans are the seeds of the cacao fruit, each having their own personalities. They shouldn’t be over roasted and masked with cheap additives.
We focus on making the fruitiest-tasting dark chocolate.
We source our cocoa beans from transparent distributors who work directly with farmers and central fermentaries around the world. This model provides the very best cocoa beans, giving us all a (MUCH) better tasting and very healthy food we call chachalate!
Let’s celebrate this magical food and cherish the memories that it brings, and the ones that are to come.
